-byes for friends and family in newtown. services were held for victoria soto and three more children, daniel barden and two more 6-year-olds, caroline previdi and charlotte bacon. the overwhelming task of burying the victims has fallen largely on the shoulders of dan hoden. in the coming days he will be burying 11 of the 26 victims who were shot and killed at sandy hook elementary. poppy harlow sat down with him today and is in new town tonight. >> the first call came in at 7:00 saturday morning. >> once the magnitude came, i said well, we've got the get things planned out so we can do what we have to do. >> the pain in his eyes concealed by his glasses. his exhaustion apparent. he runs the only funeral home in newtown. >> one girl, the funeral we had yesterday, she loved orca whales. >> 11 of the children murdered at sandy hook elementary are being remembered here. long lines outside, now a painful sight all too common in this picturesque town. >> tragedy has landed here and it's our job to take care of what has to be done. that's what we do. >> the calls with the families -- >> it's very sad. >>

on the investigation in newtown. plus we have some new details tonight about adam lanza. and inside the mind of a killer. tonight we talked to a doctor who has studied the brains of murderers for decades and has said he has found a very specific pattern. let's go "outfront." good evening, everyone. everywhere. >>> our second story "outfront" tonight. guns in america. politicians promised the newtown massacre would change everything. but since it happened just two weeks ago today, 277 people in this country are dead because of gun violence. according to a tally compiled by "slate." americans are sending mixed messages where they stand. a new gallup poll shows 54% have a favorable opinion of the national rifle association which is adamant new gun laws are not the answer to stemming violence, down slightly from a year ago. on the other hand, a poll by "the washington post" and abc shows 52% of americans favor banning semiautomatic weapons, 59% support banning high-capacity clips.
